Seattle Academy Student Projects
2014
I like how this student combined their learning in our Design and Technology class with our algebra app. He made this in the Software Development during Spring of 2014.
There is something very tranquil about Camille's project. If we have to do quadratic work, I am glad she made one that is pleasing to look at. This was made in our Software Development class in the Spring of 2014.
2015
Duncan completed two trimesters of software development. His projects are always creative. This game has submarines shooting fish in an underwater theme.
Simon spent many extra hours working on his game. There are mutliple levels and many balls flying around the screen to avoid. A two player game where the goal is to get across the screen without getting hit too many times. This is a wonderful variation of our star catcher original theme.
Reed's game includes the first working sheild in the StarCatcher theme that has been installed. Two players try to avoid the stars to keep their space ship in tact.
Kenji took our StarCatcher game and turned it into a cool Star Wars themed game. Players survive by avoind the tie fighters. Additional fighter keep appearing as time incriments.
Duncan came to this class with many hours of coding under his belt. So it is not surprising that this is one of the best quadratic grapher applications from my students. This app includes a derivative and integral feature which is fantastic since he was only in Honors Advanced Algebra class at the time.
Nicole's app took the idea of personalize your UX/UI to amazing levels. She spent lots of time working on the styles and design to make her project stand out.
Joe also made his app with the idea of personalize your UX/UI to amazing levels. He spent lots of time working on the styles and design to make his project also stand out.
Nicole's version of our 2015 Software Development spring course project was impressive. She found and solved bugs that I had not seen when I first designed the project. Kudos to her!
2017
Chris took my 'starcatcher' game idea to a whole new level. His game was one of the most detailed I have seen created in my class.
